In-school Mentoring

The Big Futures In-School Mentoring Program is built on one to one relationships.
Education is a young person’s greatest chance of building a positive future.

The Big Futures program gives community members the opportunity to connect with a vulnerable young person in a school setting. You can support and encourage them to take full advantage of what schools offer and develop a positive pathway into the future.

Conducted for one to two hours per week during school hours for a term or a full school year (depending on school). The program is aimed at high school students Years 8- 12 The students in the program are referred by wellbeing staff or teachers.

The criteria for referral are students who are at risk of not unlocking their full potential including at risk of disengaging from education.

It’s something you can do

There are lots of ways that you can connect with a young person and we will give you the tools to make that happen so you can share quality time together.
