Big Brothers Big Sisters of Australia has an independent non executive Board of Directors. Members of the Board are:

Geoff Lynch - Acting Chair

(Appointed July 2009)

Geoff is a senior corporate affairs practitioner with extensive corporate experience at National Foods, GE Money, National Australia Bank and Ansett Australia. His expertise is in the areas of media relations, internal communications, change management, stakeholder relations, issues-management, training and customer service. Geoff is passionate about the importance of supporting children with a broad and well-rounded education.


Suzanne Daley

(Appointed 2011)

Suzanne Daley is Director, Policy & Programs for Live Performance Australia, the peak body for the live performance industry. Through her professional and volunteer positions, Suzanne has developed expertise in governance, compliance, self-regulation and strategy. Suzanne worked with young people in a community theatre context for 10 years and is a firm believer in the value of formal and informal youth mentoring.

 


Kate Frost

(Appointed 2008)

Kate has specialised in resource generation and business relationships for over 20 years, originally in the banking and finance industry and for the past 6 years in the Australian not-for-profit sector. Kate has a proven track record in revenue retention, new business development and general management with a strong focus on staff performance.

 


David Hackett

(Appointed 2012)

David joined National Australia Bank (nab) in 2010 as the CFO of Wholesale Banking and now has responsibility for Strategy, Performance Alignment and Strategy Execution. Prior to joining nab David worked in Australia as a Senior Advisor to Cerberus (a US Private Equity Fund) having returned from 10 years working in the finance industry in Japan. Before leaving Australia for Japan David was Director of Finance, Operations and Administration at SBC Warburg Australia, and Chief Manager of Finance for Deutsche Bank Australia Limited. David is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from the AGSM and a B.Com from University of Melbourne.

Daniel Jackson

(Appointed 2012)

Dan is an Australian Rules footballer entering his ninth season at the Richmond Football Club. He is a member of the Tigers leadership group and the representative delegate to the AFL Players Association. Dan is completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne. He is also an active ambassador for the national youth mental health foundation Headspace and Very Special Kids. Dan’s passion for youth mentoring stems from the guidance and help he still receives from mentors who have helped guide his career.


David McEvoy

(Appointed 2012)

David joined PPB Advisory as a Partner in April 2010 and is one of Australia’s most experienced restructuring and corporate recovery practitioners, having practised for over 25 years in this sector. Prior to PPB Advisory David was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 18 years, where he led the firm’s Corporate Recovery practice in Victoria for 10 years. His experience spans a broad range of restructuring, recovery and advisory roles for major financial institutions and other corporations.


Anika McManus

(Appointed 2012)

Anika is an experienced change manager with expertise in stakeholder engagement, strategic decision making, organisational structure and design, issues management and leadership coaching. Currently working in the mining sector as Group Manager - Community and Indigenous Relations, Anika previously held roles in the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) sector developing and implementing group-wide strategies for sustainability (corporate responsibility), change management and workplace relations. Prior to this, Anika worked across various industries as a consultant in workplace relations.

 

Maria O’Connor

(Appointed 2006)

Maria is the Executive Chair and CEO, Ticketmaster Australasia Pty Ltd and is acknowledged nationally as an entertainment ‘industry leader’.

 

 

 

 

Anna Whitlam

(Appointed 2012)

Anna is a highly regarded leader in the ‘people strategy and search’ space. She has over 17 years' experience in senior business leadership, marketing and communications roles. This experience extends to organisational structure and design, recruitment and search. In June 2010, Anna established Anna Whitlam People, to provide sustainable talent solutions to clients by leveraging her wealth of knowledge in organisational development, talent identification and search.
